Seats / Berths on Train number 38 / 46
If you want the cheapest seats, 3rd class is the way to travel, but don’t expect to get much sleep in these noisy, busy carriages.
For a little extra money, you can get a much more comforatble reclining seat in a quieter 2nd class seat carriage.
The best way to travel for most people, is to take a 2nd class sleeper (Day and Night carriage).
There are two different types of 2nd class sleeper on this service (hence the different prices).
Both types are air-conditioned and there is really not much difference apart from the age of the carriages (they are both old).
We would recommend you bring something warm to wear as the A/C if often too cold (blankets are provided but you still may need an extra layer to keep you comfortable).
The bottom bunks (lower berths) are by far the more comfortable berths as they are much wider – they are also the ones that sell out quickly – so book in advance if you want one!
1st class cabins are available on this train.
Each cabin accommodates two passengers, but if you really want to, you can pay extra and have the whole cabin to yourself.
