
The Sri Raya MRT station is an elevated MRT station located at Telekom interchange of the Cheras – Kajang Expressway.
The name Sri Raya comes from the village of Kampung Sri Raya.
The MRT station is on the MRT Kajang Line and was opened on 17 July 2017 under Phase Two operations of the line.
The station is located above Jalan Cheras (Grand saga Cheras – Kajang Highway) and the Saville @ Cheras service residence is just next to the MRT station.
Station Layout
The station adopts the standard elevated station design for the MRT Kajang Line, with two side platforms above the concourse level.
The Sri Raya MRT station has a layout and design similar to that of most other elevated stations on the MRT Kajang line (except the terminus and underground stations).
The station has the platform level on the topmost floor, consisting of two sheltered side platforms along a double tracked line and a single concourse housing ticketing facilities between the ground level and the platform level.
All levels are linked by lifts, stairways and escalators.

Location of station
Sri Raya is a residential area located on the south of Cheras and property near Sri Raya MRT station would include Taman Cheras Permai, Taman Kota Cheras and Taman Sri Aman amongst others.
Nestled among the matured neighborhood makes the area of Sri Raya MRT station very convenient as amenities are abundant and easily accessible within short driving distances.
This station is not far from the Beaconhouse Sri Murni school on Jalan Sri Cendana Sari. Surrounding the station are Taman Prima Suria, Taman Shah Jaya, and Taman Murni residential areas which are all within walking distance.
There are also plenty of education facilities in the vicinity and shop lots. For bigger malls, those living in property near Sri Raya MRT can opt for Jusco Cheras Selatan, Tesco Kajang or The Mines Shopping Mall which are approximately 15 minutes drive away.


Exits and entrances
Unlike most other elevated stations of the MRT Kajang line, the MRT station has 3 entrances, allowing it to be accessed from both sides of the station as well as having a direct pedestrian link with neighbouring commercial buildings Taman Kota Cheras 1.
Entrance A
The entrance A is located at Taman Sri Raya (A) for access to feeder bus hub, Persiaran Sri Raya.

The entrance B is located at Taman Sri Raya (B) for access to taxi and private vehicle lay-by, Persiaran Sri Raya, and Jalan Hulu Langat.

The entrance C is located at Taman Kota Cheras for access to Taman Kota Cheras and Jalan Kota Cheras.

MRT stations of MRT Kajang Line
The MRT Kajang Line is the first line of the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit Project (KVMRT). The line runs underground for a distance of 9.5km beneath the centre of Kuala Lumpur while the rest of the alignment is elevated. The line has 31 stations of which seven are underground.
