The designated Smoking Areas at klia2 airport are displayed with appropriate signage to ensure that all smoking materials are properly extinguished and disposed off in accordance with good and safe housekeeping practices.
In addition, the designated smoking areas are equipped with appropriate equipment e.g. ash tray and disposal bins.
Smoking is strongly discouraged at Malaysia Airports and is strictly forbidden in any of its offices, buildings, workshops or worksites, with the sole exception of the specifically designated smoking areas at klia2.
Smoking in the office or at any non-designated area is considered serious policy violations and subjected to fine / penalty. See a tweet from MAHB
Smoking Area Outside klia2 Main Terminal Building
Before entering the klia2 Main Terminal Building, a designated zone at the left and right wing outside of the Main Terminal Building is allocated as Smoking Zone.
At these designated smoking areas, you can watch flights landing and taking off at Pier J and Pier K & L.
You can easily find smokers gathering at both left and right side of the klia2 Main Terminal Building.
This area has proven to be a good spot for watching the flights and observing the surrounding areas of the klia2 terminal.
Smoking Area near Caring Pharmacy, Pier L
At the klia2 Main Terminal Building, after passing the Immigration and security check, walk right to klia2 Pier L and you will see a smoking room after the Caring pharmacy.

Smoking Lounge at Satellite Building, Level 2
There is a dedicated smoking lounge at Level 2 of the Satellite Building.
It is located near the Khazanah Home Decor shop and the charging station.

The Smoking Lounge is located at the right corner side of the Satellite Building.
