Singapore’s Scoot airlines is increasing passenger services between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur (KL) with the addition of four-times weekly designated for the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) flights.

The bilateral VTL arrangement between Singapore and Malaysia supports quarantine-free travel between both countries.

Scoot’s designated VTL flights, TR472/TR473 between Singapore will commence from November 29 2021 applicable at Changi Airport and KL, KLIA2.

The VTL flights will be operated by Scoot’s Boeing 787 Dreamliners promising the added widebody comfort in both Economy and ScootPlus cabins.

For the transit passengers, Scoot will also be operating seven non-designated VTL flights between Singapore and KL, on Scoot’s Airbus A320 aircraft, connecting to/from Scoot’s network via Singapore.

As part of the island’s air travel bubble arrangement, the airline is to resume flights to Langkawi from December 3 2021, with quarantine-free travel to foreign visitors, subject to each country’s requirements.

The airline is also increasing the flight from Ipoh in December, from the current five times weekly and daily services. Currently, Scoot’s daily services operation is between Singapore and Penang.

Whereas for Kuching, from the current flights two times a week, it will add the third frequency between Singapore to Kuching subject to the regulatory approval.

The airline is looking forward to reuniting customers with their loved ones and providing them with more options to travel between Singapore and Malaysia, suits their travel needs.

The commencement of VTL flights between Singapore and KL adds to Scoot’s existing VTL routes between Singapore and Australia, Berlin, South Korea.

The VTL service to Jeddah will commence effective on December 6 2021.

Travellers are recommended to check prevailing eligibility and entry requirements to Singapore and Malaysia, before booking the VTL flights.
