KTM Bagan Serai Train Schedule Jadual KTM Komuter – ETS
The KTM Bagan Serai Railway Station (Stesen Keretapi Bagan Serai) is located in the state of Perak, Malaysia and is served by regular commuter trains on the Bukit Mertajam to Padang Rengas Komuter Utara route, as well as the odd long distance Electric Train Service (ETS).
Bagan Serai Komuter Trains
These cheap commuter services can take you to and from Bagan Serai on the relatively new Komuter Utara Line (north commuter route).
Bagan Serai lies on the Padang Rengas to Bukit Mertajam sector of the route, with trains departing ever hour or two in either direction, from early morning until late evening.
To see the latest commuter timetables, see the links below:
Stations on this route to the south of Bagan Serai are:
Kamunting, Taiping and Padang Rengas (the last station on this commuter route).
Stations to the north of Bagan Serai are:
Parit Buntar, Nibong Tebal, Simpang Ampat, and Bukit Mertajam (the main interchange station on this Komuter route).
There are also a few services a day that continue on to Bukit Tengah and Butterworth.
Another way to travel from Bagan Serai to Butterworth by train, is to change trains at Bukit Mertajam (where the other line on the northern commuter route meets).
Bukit Mertajam is also the place to change trains if you want to travel cheaply to Kedah and Perlis.
The Komuter Utara Line from BM northbound stops at:
Tasek Gelugor, Sungai Petani, Gurun, Kobah, Alor Setar, Anak Bukit, Kodiang, Arau, Bukit Ketri and Padang Besar where all KTM trains terminate as it is the border station with Thailand.

From Padang Besar you can continue your journey by train using the Shuttle Service to Hat Yai or the International Express to Bangkok.
KTM Bagan Serai ETS Trains
Very few of the long distance high-speed Electric Train Services (ETS) stop at Bagan Serai, so your best option is first to take a Komuter service to Taiping if you want to travel south to KL Sentral, Ipoh and other destinations.
If you want to travel to the north by ETS, again the best option is to first take a Komuter (this time to Parit Buntar).
