To get from KL Sentral to Kepong Sentral by train you have a choice of taking a cheap KTM Komuter (commuter) services or you can go by the quicker ETS services that operate on the KL-Ipoh route.
Both these services are run by Malaysia Railways (Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad).
The duration of the train journey by KTM Komuter train to Kepong Sentral from KL Sentral is approximately 30 minutes.
If you choose to go by ETS train, the duration of the journey is only 22 minutes.

If you travel by the cheaper KTM Komuter train to Kepong Sentral the fare (tambang) from KL Sentral station is 2.50 MYR (Cash Price).
For the more expensive ETS trains to Kepong Sentral, a ticket will cost between 9 – 10 MYR.
To travel by Komuter train, just turn up at KL Sentral station and go to the KTM Komuter ticket counter on the main concourse where you can buy your “Token” for the commuter train.
