
The Kelana Jaya Line LRT is the first fully automated and driverless rail system that forms a part of the Greater Kuala Lumpur / Klang Valley Integrated Transit System.
The Kelana Jaya line LRT comprises 46.4km of grade-separated tracks running mostly on underground and elevated guideways with 37 stations.
The Kelana Jaya Line LRT runs from Putra Heights LRT station through Kelana Jaya LRT station to Gombak LRT station, serving the Subang Jaya and Petaling Jaya regions to the south, southwest and central Kuala Lumpur, and Kuala Lumpur city centre to low density residential areas further north.
The stations along the Kelana Jaya line LRT are aligned in a north-south direction, consists primarily of elevated stops and a handful of underground and at-grade stations.
Of all the stations, 31 are elevated, Sri Rampai LRT station lies at ground level, and 5 stops – Masjid Jamek LRT station, Dangi Wangi LRT station, Kampung Baru LRT station, KLCC LRT station and Ampang Park LRT station – are underground.
The 46.4km Kelana Jaya line LRT has 22 stations (including 2 terminal stations and 5 subway stations) utilise a single island platform, while 15 others utilize two side platforms.
The island platform at Putra Heights terminal station is shared with the Sri Petaling Line trains bound for Sentul Timur LRT station, allowing cross-platform line interchange at the station.
All the stations have closed-circuit security cameras for security purposes and they are built to support disabled passengers, with elevators and wheelchair lifts alongside escalators and stairways between the levels.
