Hua Hin to Bang Sue

If you want to travel from Hua Hin to the north or east of Bangkok, you can take the Hua Hin to Bang Sue train, then change trains for services all the way north to Chiang Mai, or east to the Laos and Cambodia borders.
Bang Sue Junction Railway Station is located about 25 minutes by train north-east of Hua Lamphong station and is the major junction for most long distance trains leaving Bangkok.
If you are planning to take a connecting train from Bang Sue Junction Railway Station, please allow yourselves plenty of time to make the connection, as Thai trains are not known for there punctuality.
You may also want to take one of the faster services as the slower Ordinary and Rapid trains are more likely to take most of the delays (they are often held at stations to allow the faster trains to pass).

As already mentioned, if you are doing this trip to connect to another train at Bang Sue Junction, you are more likely not to miss your connection if you choose one of the faster, more expensive trains.
Only use the cheap Ordinary and Rapid services if you plan to go to places like Ayutthaya where there are many departures a day from Bang Sue Junction.
