District21 Putrajaya describes itself as an apocalypse themed adventure park. I’m not sure what is so apocalyptic about it but it is a fun place for kids and young adults to let off steam on a range of exciting indoor challenges and activities in air-conditioned comfort.
District21 occupies a massive 70,000 sq ft of expensive floorspace in IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, one of Klang Valley’s most popular shopping malls. These days the top malls in KL have to offer fun attractions such as this in order to stand out in a city with some 120 shopping malls.
Roller Glider. This looks fun as it combines the appeal of a zip line and a coaster.
Power Station. This is a climbing wall challenge designed with safety in mind.
Go Pedal. This is an eco-friendly pedal-powered go-kart circuit where you can race your friends.
Pump Track is an indoor downhill trail where riders can opt to ride a bike, scooter or skateboard.
Sky Trail is the largest indoor rope challenge in Asia where brave people have to negotiate a series of obstacles suspended high above the ground.
Low Ropes is a kind of junior version of Sky Trail, less challenging and not so high up.
Launch Pad is a trampoline field similar to the sort found at Flip Out Trampoline Arena (only smaller).
The Maze is, as it sounds, an obstacle course of tunnels and climbing frames, some of which are 10 m above ground. A mini-version is available for younger kids.
Free Fall lets you experience a brief parachute drop (without a parachute) before gently lowering you to the ground. I won’t be trying that!
Tubby Ride is a snowless sled ride on an inner tube.
N.B. Height and weight restrictions apply on many of the challenges. Refer to their official website for details.
TripAdvisor rates this as the top Fun & Games attraction in Putrajaya, ahead of Putrajaya Challenge Park. I’m not sure I would agree with that as Challenge Park is a more serious sporting facility but I’m sure this place is a lot of fun, similar to EnerZ Indoor Extreme Park.
