Booking your train tickets from Sungai Petani is easy to do and
advance booking for ETS services is highly recommended as these trains
can be fully booked at many different times of the year due to school
and public holidays, religious festivals, weekends…

Advance
booking times do vary quite a lot and there are no set KTM advance
booking periods (sometimes you can book only two weeks in advance –
sometimes two months in advance).

To book your tickets you can
either go to the SP KTM station ticket counter (or any other KTMB station that
happens to be nearby) or to save the trouble of a trip to a station, you
can simply book tickets online (at the same price as you would pay at
the ticket counter).
