Dataprep Holdings Bhd has been appointed as the project delivery partner by Asia Coding Centre Sdn Bhd for the outsourcing of integrated solutions for Covid-19 rapid molecular testing.

In a statement, Dataprep said its subsidiary Dataprep Asia Sdn Bhd had received the letter of consent from the Health Ministry (MoH) to commence the trial run of Covid-19 screening RT-PCR testing under the MiCo BioMed brand.

It said the testing will be conducted at existing MoH’s sites, specifically at the country’s main international entry points such as, KL International Airport (KLIA), klia2, Langkawi International Airport, Senai International Airport and Tambak Johor (Causeway).

Dataprep said the deployment of Covid-19 Screening RT-PCR Rapid molecular testing at the existing MOH’s sites, shall cover the registration, sampling and testing until the issuance of the testing result.

Dataprep group managing director Mohamad Sabir Mohamad Sabri said: “This initiative would be in line with the Government’s plan to open the country’s borders for foreign travellers which is important to revive the economic activities, especially the tourism sector, international conventions, retail and others as well as facilitate business travellers and social visitors coming into the country.”

“We are prepared to provide the support to the Government in the process of opening the country’s borders, and confident that it can be implemented efficiently and safely.”

It said the deployment of testing is expected to contribute positively to its earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2022 and onwards.
