AirAsia X Berhad operated as AirAsia X, is a long-haul, budget airline based in Malaysia; and a sister company of AirAsia.

It commenced operations on 2 November 2007 with its first service flew from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia, to Gold Coast Airport in Australia. AirAsia X flies to destinations within Asia and Australia.

AirAsia X is the medium and long-haul operation of the brand AirAsia, which is Asia’s largest low-cost carrier. The franchise is able to keep costs down by using a common ticketing system, aircraft livery, employee uniforms, and management style.

AirAsia X accommodates flights to many countries such as Australia (Gold Coast, Perth, Sydney, Tullamarine), China (Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Harbin, Hangzhou, Pudong, Urumqi, Xi’an Xianyang, Xining), India (New Delphi), Iran (Tehran), Japan (Haneda, Kansai, Shin-Chitose Apt), South Korea (Gimhae, Seoul), Mauritius, Nepal (Kathmandu), New Zealand (Auckland), Saudi Arabia (King Abd Aziz), and Taiwan (Taipei).

AirAsia RedQ at klia2

The new AirAsia office christened RedQ, short for RedQuarters began its full operations in November 2016.

The 18,000sqm RedQ office is home to over 2,000 of AirAsia’s staff and it is built with an estimated cost of RM140 million.

The new corporate office reflected the airline group’s determination in becoming the number one airline in Malaysia and across the region, while incorporating elements showcasing its professional, fun and friendly attitude.

At the Departure Hall of the klia2, the T, U, V rows have been allocated as baggage drop area for AirAsia’s flights. You may proceed to row Y for counter check-in if self check-in is not completed earlier.
