Design of Abdullah Hukum station

The Abdullah Hukum station is fashioned to be elevated above an access roadway, similar to the Bangsar LRT station. The station’s layout is somewhat consistent with other elevated Kelana Jaya Line stations.

The station has three levels: The access points at street level, and the ticket area and adjoining platforms on two elevated levels. All levels are linked via stairways, escalators and elevators designated for disabled passengers.

A common concourse one level above ground level links both the KTM Komuter and LRT stations.

Each of the station’s two side platforms is used by trains travelling at either direction of the line, and is entirely sheltered by roofs.

Connectivity to Mid Valley City

A pedestrian bridge connecting the former Kampung Haji Abdullah Hukum and Mid Valley City was officially opened to the public on 14 November 2019.

The bridge, which crosses the Klang River and the Bangsar-Petaling Jaya bypass, allows commuters to walk comfortably between the Abdullah Hukum station and The Gardens Mall; as well as provides easy access to Mid Valley Megamall, KTM Komuter stations and KL Eco City.

The bridge is connected to the Gardens Mall on the first floor of its south side, near Isetan. From there, visitors can walk to Mid Valley Megamall. The 250-metre long bridge is open from 6am to 1am daily.

The bridge is expected to change the travel habits of many workers, shoppers and hotel guests at Mid Valley City, and provide a boost to Kelana Jaya LRT’s ridership, which stands at 330,000 daily.

With this addition, the Mid Valley City can now be accessed easily with the KTM Komuter through the Mid Valley KTM Komuter station or this Abdullah Hukum station.
