KL Sentral is the most connected transit in Kuala Lumpur city. Wherever you are from and wherever you are heading to, you will find the most hassle-free way for your transit right here.

The city’s rail networks all pass through KL Sentral located at Kuala Lumpur Sentral CBD. Here’s how to reach major destinations from KL Sentral:
1. KLIA
The non-stop KLIA Express Train from KL Sentral takes only 28 minutes to arrive at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

2. klia2
You can take the Skybus or the KLIA Express Train which will arrive at KLIA first (and stop for a while) before arriving at klia2. The KLIA Express Train trip takes about 33 minutes compared to more than an hour by Skybus.
The KLIA Transit Train also goes to klia2 but it stops at four stations (Bandar Tasik Selatan, Cyberjaya, Putrajaya and Salak Tinggi) along the way before arriving at KLIA. The journey to klia2 is 39 minutes.

3. Mid Valley Megamall
The easiest way to get here is by taxi which costs RM10-RM15 depending on traffic condition. If it’s hard to find a taxi during peak hours, you can take the KTM Komuter train. The Mid Valley Komuter station is only one stop away from KL Sentral.

4. KLCC
From KL Sentral, just hop onto the LRT heading towards downtown KL and stop right there at the KLCC LRT station that’s only four stations away.

5. Pavilion KL
Take the LRT from KL Sentral to KLCC, then use the covered KLCC Pedestrian Walkway to Pavilion KL. Also known as the Pavilion-KLCC pedestrian bridge, it has several entrances and exits. One of them is located at the alfresco dining and entertainment strip at Pavilion KL.
Also accessible via this bridge is the Raja Chulan monorail station and KLCC LRT station. But that’s not all. Just across the road from Pavilion KL are more F&B outlets and shopping malls like Starhill Gallery, Fahrenheit 88 and Lot 10 while across another road from here are Sungei Wang Plaza and Berjaya Times Square. Wear comfortable shoes if you intend to shop till you drop.

6. Petaling Street / Chinatown
This is just one LRT station and a five-minute ride from KL Sentral. Get down at the Pasar Seni LRT station and you are in downtown KL. You can’t miss the old world charm and hustle & bustle of Petaling Street about 400m and a five-minute walk away.

7. 1 Utama Shopping Centre
From KL Sentral, you can take the bus number U82 (KL Sentral-Bandar Utama). Or take the LRT to the Kelana Jaya station, then take bus number U89 (Kelana Jaya LRT Station-Kota Damansara) or bus number U43 (Putrajaya Sentral-Bandar Utama). Both buses will stop at the Bandar Utama bus hub.

8. Genting Highlands
From KL Sentral, take the Genting Express Bus Services bus. But it will take you to the Genting Skyway Lower Station at Awana only. From there, you have to take the cable car up to Genting.

These are but some of the major places in and around Kuala Lumpur that you can easily reach from KL Sentral using the LRT, bus, taxi and train. Not only that, these eight key rail systems (KLIA Express Rail Link, KLIA Transit, Putra LRT, Star LRT, KTM Komuter, KTM Intercity, KL Monorail and future MRT extensions) make it convenient to get around the country, too.
Finding an affordable home close to such a valuable hub of transportation is near impossible, but there will be just another addition to the KL Sentral vicinity that fits the criteria.
